Violent Ends is the second book in the White Monarch Trilogy it could possibly be Jessica Hawkins best work! The White Monarch Series is special to me coming from a Mexican/ American background and hardly see the following,

a) accurate cultural depiction/ appropriation

and

b) Lation(o)(a) lead representation.

Jessica Hawkins‘ White Monarch Series has that and so much more! Last we had left our leading lady Natalia recently married to one of Mexico's most powerful men Christíano. The ending from book 1 has book 2 picking right back up from the ending. Boy does Jessica take us on a journey in Violent Ends. My thoughts from Violent Ends were pretty much, "what the hell?" "um she cant leave me like this!" "Why is Natalia so stubborn? Christiano is just trying love her and she wants him just as badly!"😫





Okay so with those thoughts, I think another reason I am just so addicted to Violent Ends & The White Monarch Series in general is because its not predictable! I mean I LOVE romance as genre, but some days the characters and their story lines are so predictable. After reading Violent Delights I was so hooked on Jessica Hawkins as an author I HAD to read more from her! so far I've read her Explicitly Yours Series it was far from calculable (that's for another blog post.) Because The White Monarch Series is so unpredictable I've come to the unsettling thought that Christino and Natalia's story might end in absolute tragedy. The fact that Christiano and Natalia have both compromised and grown so much to only be apart seems so wrong, yet its almost perfect for this narrative. Am I saying i want this to happen? Absolutely not. I'm just stating that the whole "Romeo and Juliet" vibe is definitely present and we all know how that ended. 👀

In conclusion, I just want 11/12 needs to be here already so we can read the conclusion to The White Monarch Series, Violent Triumphs. I will always recommend an authors work whenever I post on any platform and its no different with Queen Jessica.
